LAUGHTER OR THE CROSS?

What is the best medicine available today for all our loses, aches and pains we have and are encountering in today’s world?.. laughter or the cross?.. truth or funny lies?

I dare say the cross. Admittedly the holy scriptures do talk about laughter as being likened unto medicine, that it makes good but I don't believe that a merry heart can solve all of our setbacks. People even get sick of laughing and having fun. God has written for us all to know that the cross that He has asked all of His followers to carry is the be all and end all to men and women's setbacks and even your self orientated carnal life.. 2 Corinthians 6:12... laughter can never save the soul.

It was the way of the Christ that intrigued the apostle Paul, to the place where he lost interest in all other things in his life and life itself. This one particular disciple of the Christ was obsessed with Jesus, His walk, His ways and His person... Philippians 1:21... Pauls goal became the Christ.

Whether it be laughter, fun times, gain, fame or fortune.. these all have their end and they all wear thin sooner or later. Kind of like men and women who go out in the world partying, socialising, bar/b/queing etc.. all have a used by date. And after the champagne has been popped they go back to the water. After the gambling club closes they go back to their rented house with their debts... Ecclesiastes 5:10.

After the socialising is over they go back to their mundane life of being a beast of burden for the world system ... it all comes to a lonely, fearful end... Proverbs 23:4.

But the cross .. Christ and Him crucified is the all time great and wonderful journey of a lifetime yet only for those who would dare trod the straight and narrow... Ephesians 3:14-21.

Jesus is saying to all .. church goers, professing church leaders, worldlings, academics and sceptics across the board .. come with Me and I will take you on a journey that will revolutionise your entire being to the place where you too will say .. I am determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.!!!!!!!! ... He can do it, just dare pick up your cross.

• WHAT A FELLOWSHIP, WHAT A JOY DIVINE LEANING ON THE EVERLASTING ARMS ..

• WHAT A BLESSEDNESS, WHAT A PEACE IS MINE LEANING ON THE EVERLASTING ARMS.

And the Spirit and the bride say come and let him who hears say come and let him who thirsts come and whoever desires let him take the waters of life .. freely ...... Revelation 22:17.
