THE MELBOURNE CUP.

This saying came direct from heaven....it was thus says the lord God almighty who made heaven and earth all things seen and unseen Hosanna in the high or highest place.......praise you Jesus!....Acts 3:23.......Selah!

To trust in is to rely upon, believe in firmly and also to have confidence in.....the word confidence is another word for faith............very interesting, amen?

Whether you are trusting a man, a woman, an employer, a minister, a politician or a horse to win a swag of dollars you are trusting in the flesh. You might be trusting in your own self (flesh) to bring you through, regardless of who it is if it is not............lord Jesus......you are under a curse..............Hebrews 3:12.

Whether you get the position, sell the house, purchase the car, get the pay rise or win ........the Melbourne cup..........your trust is not in the lord, hence we (at least those who choose to operate by trusting in the flesh) bring ourselves under a curse. Is this relevant, significant or does it really matter?.....2 Timothy 2:1-5.

This issue I talk to you about today would have to be the most important issue for the human race today..........trusting in the lord Jesus or the flesh.........Luke 6:46.

It all really comes down to the well worn verse of John three sixteen, those who believe will not perish. When we trust, believe, rely upon, have confidence in and obey someone we are never looking for alternative ways or measures to make things happen, to get ahead or become someone we have not been made to be. The old measures of marketing products, christian goods, books, video, audio, Cd, tract and the rest of the wares has never been a work of holy spirit neither can it be said that God almighty, Jesus the Christ said to operate in such a manner.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose hope is in the lord, says holy ghost by the mouth of the prophet Jeremiah 17:7.

SOME TRUST IN CHARIOTS AND SOME IN HORSES BUT WE WILL REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE LORD OUR GOD...THEY HAVE BOWED DOWN AND FALLEN BUT WE HAVE RISEN AND STAND UPRIGHT.......................... ....PSALM 20:7................(Click here)

It is very easy to see how the people of the world can run to the race courses, the pubs, tabs, festivals in the streets, drinking and making merry, idol chat and course language, foolish gestures and to say..........I was only joking!........Proverbs 26:19.

But when we see the churches, ministers, so called saints, holy peoples hanging out at such turn outs, I for one become concerned. I wonder if the AOG churches ever told Darren Beadman that being involved in race courses and gambling, putting trust in flesh, horse flesh and human flesh brings a curse. I wonder if Darren Beadman has ever been convicted of his ways, especially when he told the entire nation of Australia and beyond that he traded his saddle for a bible.....Cursed means ............troubled.

There is one thing that all professing christians must never forget, no it's not the Melbourne Cup, Christmas, Easter, the Pope, Lady Diana or Elvis, it is that they made a covenant with Jesus to give up their life...........Ecclesiastes 5:4-7.Matthew 10:32-42.
