MOREOVER THE LAW ENTERED.. THAT THE OFFENSE
MIGHT ABOUND BUT WHERE SIN ABOUNDED.. GRACE ABOUNDED MUCH MORE.. ROMANS 5:20. |
GRACE PLUS FAITH EQUALS HOLINESS.
THERE
ARE FOUR THINGS TO CONSIDER HERE.. THE LAW, THE OFFENSE, SIN AND THE GRACE OF GOD
ALMIGHTY.
Where sin abounds the grace of God abounds even more.. meaning that wherever sin is being
offered to the human race, God makes sure that there is a portion, a sufficient portion of
grace for all to overcome that which they are faced with. He is more than enough in all
areas of our life.
Example.. For this is the love of God that we keep His commandments and His
commandments are not burdensome ... 1 John 5:3.
No temptation has
overtaken you except such as is common to man but God is faithful who will not allow you
to be tempted beyond what you are able but with the temptation will also make the way of
escape that you may be able to bear it .... 1 Corinth 10:13.
The law entered
to show men and women exactly where they have gone wrong and what went wrong. The reading
of the law makes manifest and magnifies the sin of men and women that they may run to the
Lamb for help and no matter how much sin is there God provides grace and abounding grace
for all to escape the clutches of the devil satan, the serpent of old ... 1 Peter
5:5b.
Jesus the Christ, being the generous one, abundant and abounding in all things
that are good always goes the extra mile for human beings and if we continue to live in
sin after God almighty has done so much to help us and keep us what hope have we .. none!
... Hebrews 10:28,29.... James 1:12-18.
We are not saved by law but we are directed by the law through the Spirit, holy
ghost who will not lead us beyond the written word of the living God and saviour .. Jesus
the Christ ... 1 Timothy 1:8-11.
Grace does not abound so that people may live in sin and more sin and continue on
in a unclean way or any way that is going to continuously grieve the Spirit of God who is
holy. Grace abounds that we may abound in Him or to put it another way .. that we may
be more than overcomers in Him... John 15:2,
What shall we say then?.. shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?..
certainly not!.. how shall we who died to sin .. live any longer in it.. for sin shall not
have dominion over you for you are not under law but under grace. What then shall we sin
because we are not under the law but under grace certainly not, do you not know that to
whom you present yourselves slaves to obey you are that ones slaves whom you obey whether
of sin to death or of obedience to righteousness.. Romans 6:1,2,14-16.
God/Jesus has given us grace and faith that we may escape the wrath to come and hell fire
eternal/the living death, so let us trust and obey.. amen.
