THOSE FAULT FINDING PROPHETS

This man Amos was initially no prophet nor was he a son of any prophet he was following the flock… no, dear friend, brother Amos was no graduate from the school of prophets or the silver spoon ecumenical bible college.. Revelation 2:16, 1 Corinthians 1:26-31.

He was following God and God said to him… Amos I want you to go and prophesy/speak these things to the house of Israel/ My peoples.

What did this man Amos who was not a prophet but was a true prophet… what exactly did he have to say??... Here is one of his prophecies…

• AMOS SAID TO THE PRIEST OF BETHAL… AMAZIAH.
  
  YOUR WIFE WILL BECOME A WHORE, YOUR CHILDREN WILL BE SLAIN AND YOU WILL DIE AS A PRISONER HELD IN ASSYRIA AND THE ENTIRE NATION OF ISRAEL WILL BE EXILED… AMOS 7:17.

We just read some of the words to expect from a true prophet of the living, loving God of Abraham. Brother Amos, was never in the prophets ministers club of Israel, nor was he able to say my dad, uncle, cousin and all my relatives have all served the Lord of Israel and I too am now a minister keeping up the family tradition… whether God anointed for the position or not… No!

The complaint that the priest of Bethel had against this God ordained prophet was… stop preaching against Israel and stop preaching against the descendants of Isaac. In modern day words it would translate… stop speaking against the churches and when are you going to cease from speaking against the seed of Isaac/ professing Christians, ministers and pew warmers?... Ephesians 4:11.

SPOUTING AGAINST THE HOUSE OF ISAAC!.. SPOUT, MEANING TO DRIP OR NEVER STOP, POUR OUT ON, SPEECHIFY.

Amos stop preaching against the people of God/Yah. The hypocrite priest of Bethel told Amos to run away to Judah and preach there but don’t ever preach against us holy than thou, clean on the outside, unclean on the inside lip servants of the almighty God… Matthew 15:8, Matthew 23:25.

If you can show me one true prophet in the Holy Bible that was not a judge/spiritual magistrate, I will shut my ministry down today and go back to the pub and shout the bar. What we have in churches today are people who sticky tape their sins to coolite crosses by faith/a faith that requires no obedience to scripture, then wonder why they live miserable, carnal, covetous, hellbound lives.

No ritual or sacrifice will ever compensate for obedience!.. Amen.
