IS YOUR MIND FULL OF HEAVEN OR EARTH?

What sort of mind is that?... what sort of mind is the mind of Christ?... do we have any indication of what kind of mind was in Christ?

We also hear St Paul saying to put on the mind of Christ and if we would put on the mind of Christ my belief is that most, if not all the defeat that church goers experience would sail out the door… 2 Corinth 6:12.

Getting back to the scripture above, could you imagine Jesus of Nazareth thinking upon the things of this beggarly world?... I surely can’t, didn’t He come to tell us of another Kingdom? Paul says He made Himself of no reputation and took the form of a servant dressed as a common man… Phil 2:7,8.

Paul also tells the Philippians what to meditate on and he goes on to say… things that are lovely, good, etc… Phil 4:8. I too believe that this is good to put into our minds but we must not allow this to hold us back from speaking the truth and the rebukes of God. The false teachers of the world would have the people believe that if you expose sin, rebuke falsehood and abhor evil and lead others to think likewise you have some kind of problem, you’re not loving, good and hence you shall never become filthy rich… this is the snare of the devil/satan.

BUT HE WHO REBUKES THE WICKED WILL HAVE DELIGHT AND A GOOD BLESSING WILL COME UPON THEM………………..PROVERBS 24:25.

Whatever way you choose to look at it ... whether it be ... Peter trying to hold Jesus from the cross or keeping face in the community, joining in with the unity club or the any doctrine goes fellowship, it all points to the one place/satan… Matthew 16:21-23.

What a wonderful thing it appeared that Peter would lovingly try to hold back the Lamb… it seems the lovely thing to do (to those who were mindful of the things of men) but we are told to put on His mind. Many church goers are taught or should I say programmed not to get angry but God said…. Be angry! Ephesians 4:26, Matt 5:22

If your anger uproots false teaching, prosperity gimmicks and Hollywood holiness movements it’s regarded as unrighteous. But if the churchgoer doesn’t pay their ten percent, love offering, missions offering and church building fund offering and the pastor/hireling gets angry, it is seen as righteous anger. The mind of Christ refuses to allow thieves to operate in Father’s house. The mind of Christ abhors greed and covetousness in the ranks of the church. The mind of Christ forbids women to teach men and women to dress as worldly tarts.

If you would like to have a glance at the mind of Christ and what He wants you to think like, open your holy bible at… 1 Peter 3:1-6, Hebrews 12:14, 1 Corinth 5:9-13, 1 Corinth 3:16,17,18, 1 Timothy 2:8-13, Romans 2:7,8.

Putting on the mind of Christ is not being a jelly belly Ahab nor is it being a Yongi Cho with all his myths, methods and multiple beliefs. It is simply dying to self and the money making methods of men and women disguised as teachers of the truth… let this mind be with you… amen.
