SAVED BUT STILL SINNERS...QUESTION MARK!
WHO WAS PAUL AND TIMOTHY SPEAKING TO HERE IN THIS LETTER?…WAS IT TO SINNERS OR SAINTS?…TO THE UNFAITHFUL BRETHREN OR THOSE WHO WERE FAITHFUL?

To the saints and the faithful brethren in CHRIST who were in Colosse.

We so often hear professing Christians saying that they are just dirty sinners and that they are just this and that. I have heard this so often, I have come to believe that these people are just that. But Paul and Timothy called the Christians of Colosse, the faithful ones at least, they called them saints!…or Holy Ones.

Can we be sinners and saints?…and if we can, why did not Paul/Timothy say to the sinner saints at colosse…instead of saints?

My understanding is that the very well known Christian song…“When the Saints Go Marching In”…means exactly that…when the Saints, not the sinners…sinners will not be marching into heaven but they will be crawling into hell, in regret, torment and pain.

Why is it that people say such contradictory things?…is it a sign of humility?…or a reality that must be faced, that JESUS is not able to deliver us from the grip of sin…or is it something else? Yes we were sinners saved by grace…that is past tense.

FOR SIN SHALL NOT HAVE DOMINION OVER YOU…FOR YOU ARE NOT UNDER LAW BUT UNDER GRACE......ROMANS 6:14.                                                                                                                

AND HAVING BEEN SET FREE FROM SIN…YOU BECAME SLAVES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR HE WHO HAS DIED HAS BEEN SET FREE FROM SIN...ROMANS 6:7, 18.

Is there any way that we are able to cease from sin in our own strength?…No, but GOD gave His Spirit who is Holy, to lead us into victory over all sin and if we do sin we have an advocate…LORD JESUS CHRIST.

In actual fact we are either sinners or saints. I firmly believe that there are multitudes that believe that if they simply admit this contradiction of…I am just a sinner saved by grace!…they are therefore eligible for the concession card that says.

I CAN LIVE IN SIN AND STILL ESCAPE THE ETERNAL FIRE OF HELL...REVELATION 21:8..

Admitting that we are sinners, will not save the soul from destruction…but turning from our sins is what GOD is looking for…actions speak louder that words.

AS A DOG RETURNS TO HIS OWN VOMIT…SO A FOOL REPEATS HIS FOLLY...PROVERBS 26:11.

Dear reader, don’t be ashamed of being uneducated, poor in earthly wealth, black or white or yellow, short, tall or of a particular race of peoples…be ashamed of sin and sin alone!

BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD!…WHO TAKES AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD...JOHN 1:29.AMEN.
