APPEARING POOR YET MAKING MANY
RICH !
It's obvious that money plays a jumbo role in the world today. It always
has but as the centuries rolled on money has become the god of gods to most.
Money is a powerful tool for getting things done but God tells us through Solomon that
wisdom is a far better possession all together.
Money is very much illusive in more than one way. Like, as a man who keeps his mouth
closed is considered wise, for no one knows the heart till we speak. Even so, those who
are rich or appear rich seem to be great, intelligent or someone to be esteemed. In fact, the
rich think themselves wise, says the proverb but wisdom reveals all in her time…
2 Corinthians 6:10.
There are very few in the world who are able to handle riches yet there are so many who
desire to be rich in this world. The purse proud of the world would be wise if they gave
their money to the poor for he who gives to the poor gives to the Lord.
Solomon says in this oracle, that you don't need money/riches to be wise. The poor wise
man can see through the owner of the chequebook, casino, bank, ranch, oil field,
goldmine… Matthew 16:17.
My belief is that … once known, you might as well call the chase off. Or should I
say… once Father has revealed the truth of the matter, there is no longer any doubt
that the pursuit of wisdom is a far better course… Matthew 6:32,33.
PETER SAID THIS:
BY WHICH HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO US EXCEEDING GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES THAT THROUGH
THESE… YOU MAY BE PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE, HAVING ESCAPED THE CORRUPTION THAT
IS IN THE WORLD THROUGH LUST… 2 PETER 1:4.
Peter talks about promises that will usher us into the divine nature of God Almighty
Himself. Not a god or a pretend god or a religion but into the divine nature, this is
something riches can't promise… Acts 8:18-22.
What I want to say is this… the riches of this world are not the answer to
the spiritual hunger and groanings that human beings experience on a daily basis. Every
day, people are tossed to and fro, not knowing what their real problem is. I shall tell
you today, my friend… you need a relationship with the Living God/Jesus and if you
already have a relationship with Him it needs to be revived by the reading and the
believing of the written, living, all powerful word of God/the Holy Bible.
Wisdom tells me that man cannot live by bread alone but he shall live by the word of God.
Riches/money, may paint a picture of you but wisdom and understanding tells of the
character of all.
MY SON IF YOU RECEIVE MY WORDS AND TREASURE MY COMMANDS WITHIN YOU, SO THAT YOU
INCLINE YOUR EAR TO WISDOM AND APPLY YOUR HEART TO UNDERSTANDING, YES IF YOU CRY OUT FOR
DISCERNMENT AND LIFT UP YOUR VOICE FOR UNDERSTANDING IF YOU SEEK HER AS SILVER AND SEARCH
FOR HER AS FOR HIDDEN TREASURES, THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE FEAR OF THE LORD AND FIND
THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD… PROVERBS 2:1-5.
