THE CROSS TAKES NO CASUALTIES

The mindset ...plays a major part in a persons life who makes the choice to follow after the Christ. We must all come to the reality that the cross takes no casualties. When our master told us and every disciple to take up our cross He was talking about death, a daily death to self that would make way for the character and life of God to be made manifest...Philippians 1:21.

The cross that Jesus tells us to pick up makes no exceptions, however we are sure that religions do and that is what we are surrounded by today ..alternative routes to heaven.. 2 Corinth 11:3.. the road called compromise leads to hell.

The cross leadeth home and as we carry our cross today we are at home in Him and absent from the dainty world we now live in. Peter's mindset was for Jesus to live on and avoid the way of the cross, the Via Dolorosa/the way of sorrow and suffering. It seemed the right way but it wasn't, it was a lovely thought many would say but who was behind the thought?.. Satan/the devil himself.

Can you see what I mean when I have spoken that the cry of the devil in the end times will be love?.. satan knows better than all, that mankind love to take the easy way out every time. But the easy way is not the right way, the written word says that wide and easy is the way to destruction and many be they who pass there by.. how many? Many!... Luke 24:47.

Many of the lovely thoughts that are convincingly taught to congregations in today's churches are from the same place that St Peter got his from, that's right the devil satan the deceiver. Fourteen plus years ago I had professing Christians trying to tell me not to be so zealous for God, they told me that I would be better to try to get along with people more and that I was never going to get a big break into international ministry and recognition if I didn't tame the fire in me .. I knew then without doubt that satan was using those poor souls to hold this servant back from being spent for Him who was spent for me, Jesus.

If I know anything about the cross, I know that it takes no casualties!.. it is a gruesome work that God does in a man and woman that eventuates in the shape of a biblical butler, a firebrand, a holy ghost terrorist, a man that has nothing but has everything, a man that hungers for truth like a deer for water on a hot dry day. The cross does it daily and God knows it is gruesome .. that's why it has to be a little each day lest we crumble completely. The cross makes for a people that are tried, sure and precious in His sight, a holy people who are special indeed... Job 5:18.. He is the maker of saints, He is Jesus.

The cross takes no casualties .. count the cost lest you be seen a fool that started the work and are unable to finish, you picked up your cross and some where down the road gave up because of the voice of the devil turning your mind to the things of men. Jesus said if salt loses it flavour it is good for nothing but for men to trod on it, Jesus seen it as trash. And remember He called those who would be lukewarm .. vomit and those who turn back unfit for His kingdom and said we are better not to have know Him if we turn back. The cross takes no casualties neither does Jesus have a army reserves unit, you are either in His full time army or you are not in His army at all.. amen.
