  • AND THEY SANG A NEW SONG SAYING:
YOU ARE WORTHY TO TAKE THE SCROLL AND TO OPEN ITS SEALS FOR YOU WERE SLAIN AND HAVE REDEEMED US TO GOD BY YOUR BLOOD OUT OF EVERY TRIBE AND TONGUE AND NATION…

AND HAVE MADE US KINGS AND PRIESTS TO OUR GOD AND WE SHALL REIGN ON THE EARTH ………..REVELATION 5:9,10.

While I was ministering the word of God/Yah in Madrid/Spain and some of the surrounding provinces I had a golden opportunity to lead an Afghan to the Christ, it was a real sovereign experience, meaning I witnessed first hand Father singling out His in the midst of a dark world… John 10:26-30.

Well it’s been a while now since the twin towers have come down and the dust has well and truly had time to settle. And in the midst of it all Father brought to mind by holy ghost power.. brought to my remembrance, the dear brother He had me to introduce to Jesus/Messiah that day at the plaza in Madrid.

  • His name was Ahmad Fuzid, he was a boot maker by trade and had fled the war torn Afghanistan and was living in Madrid picking up odd jobs around the place while he arranged a jewellery trade with Pakistan/India.

Ahmad was around my age which is at present 45 years old and surprisingly enough he had a real hunger and faith toward Jesus the Christ…..

I was roving this day around the city of Madrid distributing the word of God by way of literature and suddenly I stopped and looked at this bloke/man doing a huge painting on canvass in front of the public, he was really busy with this painting and was keen to finish it and sell it to gather a little money to live on, I think he was an American, he spoke english fluently anyway.

Well, I had a small idea what he was painting or at least trying to paint so as an opening line to create conversation with this bloke I asked him what he was painting and he said to me very hurriedly… Jesus!, o.k.!... Jesus!

I said to the man, Jesus?.. you mean to tell me that you know what Jesus looks like?.. he said… look!.. I have to finish this painting o.k. so leave me alone and go your way. I said once again… your painting Jesus?.. Do you know Jesus?

He said no!.. Who does?.. and I said, I do!.. well heads turned when I said that and the painter really thought I was crazy then. I said to the painter, would you like to meet this one you are trying to paint?.. he yelled at me now and said.. no!.. no!.. I don’t want to meet Jesus just go away!.. O.K. Acts 17:22,23.

  • The greatest torment in hell will be regret. Luke 16:24,28.

  • It was right at that precious moment I heard a voice say.. I will! I’d like to meet Jesus!.. this bloke didn’t care who was listening.

It was Ahmad Fuzid, the boot maker. He was standing off a little leaning up against the iron rails that surrounded the underground train entry. I looked over at him and he was smiling like a man that had just won lotto… Luke 19:1-10.

All I could see was teeth. So I went over to him and ministered the Christ to him and he just soaked it all up like a sponge does water. We prayed there and then. He took me back to his place where his huge afghan hound met us at the door, I thought it was a mammoth or a behemoth looking at me… Job 40:15.

I then water baptized him in his bath tub and we fellowshipped together till the day I left Madrid for Australia… Matthew 28:19.

Although Father had many a job for me in Spain I always look back on the time I met brother Ahmad as my favourite, it was wonderful to see a war torn man who grew up in a bomb blasted land of violence meet the prince of peace.

If my whole trip to Spain was only for Ahmad, it was worth it, every moment I recall when I expounded upon God’s word brother Ahmad was just smiling all over the place and when it was time to move on he became very sad and me too.

We always must remember that one soul is worth more than the world and all that is in it to our heavenly Father. I may not have sent food parcels, clothes, medical supplies or money to Afghanistan but Father allowed me to play my part in the helping of the Afghan people, especially one brother Ahmad Fuzid, the man who yelled out when I wasn’t even talking to him.. I will, I’d like to meet Jesus!........... whosoever calls!... Psalm 34:6.

BIBLE REF: LUKE 4,24-30, ACTS 8:26-40, LUKE 18:35-43, ACTS 3:23.

Please pray for brother Ahmad Fuzid in your prayers today …(Romans 11:22).
Amen.
