PART 1 ... IDENTIFYING RELIGIOUS HYPOCRITES.
Lord Jesus the Christ the great prophet and
God manifested in the flesh warns us that we must be on guard, that we must guard our
hearts with all diligence against lying teachers, prophets and hirling shepherds who come
to devour the souls of the gullible and unlearned... 1 Timothy 6:5-10.
Jesus has clearly identified these wolves in the writings of Matthew; these
characteristics are obvious and leave no room for doubt or question.
MATTHEW 23:25-34
We shall deal with each verse separately and see what Jesus tells us to look out for or
what we may identify with .. religious hypocrites.

PRETENTIOUS, PLASTIC, SUPERFICIAL. |

LIARS AND DECEITFUL/FULL OF GUILE. |

SELF DECEIVED AND MURDERERS. |

JEALOUS, ARROGANT, EVIL AND WICKED. |
Jesus was never one to water things down or beat about the bush. He makes everything very
clear to all readers of the holy book. Jesus gives us here an outline of the traits of
church leaders that really don't care less about His word or your soul. This outline looks
very dull and those who dare walk after this pattern of behaviour are all in the one boat
that leads to hell fire and brimstone... 2 Peter 2:18-22.
We must understand one very important fact and truth about all of this and it is.. these
religious hypocrites thought that they had arrived, they were under the deception that
they were the cream of the crop.. healthy, wealthy and wise so to speak laodecian in
nature I suppose.. blinded by self.
The terrible news is that if we do not surrender our lives to Jesus and pick up
our cross and deny ourselves daily of sin we shall end up just like these Pharisees and
scribes. I believe that Australia is saturated in church leaders that meet this rebuke of
Jesus. This has happened all because men and women think they may serve two masters, Jesus
said, it can not be done my friend .. don't you believe Him?.. the judgement day
is another day closer.
