| TESTIMONY OF THE FOUNDER OF .. JESUS THE CHRIST
MINISTRIES.
I was a lonely drunk, who worked hard long
hours in the noon day sun, only to leave whatever job I had at the time to go and sit in a
hotel bar and then usually proceed to the local wine bar after the doors of the pub would
close.. Isaiah 66:2.
Some of my occupations were as follows.. brickies labourer, concrete labourer,
farm work, picking different fruits in season, picking oysters, loader driver, sawmiller,
soldier in Australian Army.
This is a brief outline of my past positions. And I tell people of my past so
that they will come to see that Jesus word is perfectly true.
GOD HAS CHOSEN THE FOOLISH THINGS OF THE WORLD .. TO PUT TO SHAME THE WISE AND GOD HAS
CHOSEN THE WEAK THINGS OF THE WORLD TO PUT TO SHAME THE THINGS WHICH ARE MIGHTY..
AND THE BASED THINGS OF THE WORLD AND THE THINGS WHICH ARE DESPISED GOD HAS CHOSEN AND THE
THINGS WHICH ARE NOT, TO BRING TO NOTHING THE THINGS THAT ARE .. THAT NO FLESH SHOULD
GLORY IN HIS PRESENCE.
I CORINTHIANS 1:27-29
It was a aboriginal brother that introduced me to Lord Jesus. I was
at the end of myself, desperation really led me to salvation.. Luke 18:13.
I was also bound by nicotine, light drugs such as LSD, hash oil, mushrooms/magic,
marijuana etc. My mind was scrambled and my concentration level was about minus three.. Psalm
34:6.
I found it difficult to read one page of a comic, without getting frustrated. I felt that
my only true friend was the bottle I held in my hand, I was wrong .. Jesus was. I could
ask for nothing else in this life I have Jesus/Pearl of great price!.. Matthew
13:45,46.
When I prayed with the aboriginal brother, the strangest thing happened .. I spoke in
another language.. it was a heavenly language. The very moment I asked Jesus to forgive
me, with tears running down my face and joy unspeakable in my heart and peace that I have
no words for, I spoke in another tongue. ..he then submerged me in water, fully.
Jesus forgave me of my sins, anointed me, appointed me, cleansed me, saved me, enlisted me
in His Army and welcomed me into the family of the Almighty God.. Yahweh!.. Ephesians
4:11.
There was a new name written down in heaven, it was mine, glory, glory, halleluyah!.. You
know what?.. since that very day I wilfully made myself a prisoner of the Christ Jesus..
2 Corinthians 5:15.
In fact, when I was five years old, we would sometimes listen to the programme called .. the
hour of decision by Bill Graham. And I used to be drawn to our old valve radio each
time. Also when we would see the Negro people having a .. wake.. or a funeral on
the TV. ..on some movie as a child I would get so excited and my mother would look at me
and laugh to herself. We didn't have Christs Way in our house but we had the Roman
Catholic Doctrines and those teachings are about as useful as a glass hammer. Doctrines of
wicked man.
It's been eighteen years now, this is my nineteenth year as a soldier of
Lord Jesus the Christ and I've seen a few things along the way........(testimony
written in 2005).
I could tell you things that would straighten your hair if it was curly and curl your hair
if it was straight. We are in a full time war zone, with the most unlikely enemies to
contend with. Many say look out for the devil but Master Jesus says beware of men and
women also
beware of deceiving yourself by being just a hearer of the word.. James 1:22.
I tried all the man made programmes ..AA.. Rehabilitation courses, health foods, different
lifestyles but all was vanity.. John 8:31,32.
Please don't see me as a reformed drunk or a rehabilitated alcoholic or a dry drunk or a
religious freak. Because if you do you are also blinded just as I was before I met Jesus. I
am a walking, talking miracle.
I am a new creation! .. a brand new man .. not a patched up one but a brand new
one. I don't want a drink, I don't want a cigarette, I don't want LSD, and I don't want
hashish. I just want to serve my Saviour!. Amen.
In order to fulfill this testimony I would like to share this one hymn that so perfectly
describes my salvation, it is probably clearer than all I have said ..
WHAT A WONDERFUL CHANGE IN MY LIFE HAS BEEN WROUGHT
SINCE JESUS CAME INTO MY HEART, I HAVE LIGHT IN MY
SOUL WHICH SO LONG I HAD SOUGHT, SINCE JESUS CAME
INTO MY HEART ..
since Jesus came into my heart, since Jesus came into
my heart, floods of joy, o, my soul like the sea billows
roll .. since Jesus came into my heart.
I HAVE CEASED FROM MY WONDERINGS AND GOING ASTRAY
SINCE JESUS CAME INTO MY HEART, AND MY SINS WHICH WERE
MANY WERE ALL WASHED AWAY, SINCE JESUS CAME INTO MY HEART.
I'M POSSESSED BY A HOPE THAT IS STEADFAST AND SURE, SINCE
JESUS CAME INTO MY HEART AND NO DARK CLOUDS OF DOUBT
NOW MY PATHWAY OBSCURE, SINCE JESUS CAME INTO MY HEART.
THERE'S A LIGHT IN THE VALLEY OF DEATH NOW FOR ME SINCE
JESUS CAME INTO MY HEART AND THE GATES OF THE CITY
BEYOND I CAN SEE, SINCE JESUS CAME INTO MY HEART.
I SHALL GO THERE TO DWELL IN THAT CITY I KNOW, SINCE
JESUS CAME INTO MY HEART AND I'M HAPPY SO HAPPY AS
ONWARD I GO, SINCE JESUS CAME INTO MY HEART.
