Paul,
One thing I believe I've learnt (in my Christian
odyssey) is that people (including God's people)
don't like to hear the truth, "the full and
unvarnished truth" I mean, pretty much about
anything but particularly about sinfulness, holiness,
sin (which can be very subtle) and the effects of
sin. People you might say, gnash their teeth and say,
"Keep quiet, don't talk like that" and get quite angry,
sometimes very angry.
But so has it been with the prophets and prophetic
insight all down the ages, culminating with Jesus,
"Away with him, crucify Him,, crucify Him."
● Take heart Paul, for, as you know, truth and Truth
win out in the end but what an incredible pity that in the
final wash-up it seems so many are not going to make it!
In all the mishmash and unanswered questions, one can
only bow down and worship and acknowledge that God is
God and that He is the final Judge of all of us and of
all things.
