- HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW GOD ALMIGHTY?
Solomon .. king of Israel, son of king David, by today’s
standard a once upon a time, true blue Christian/follower of God/Yah...
When he backslid, lived for wealth, played around with women, was
hard on his subjects .. got broad-minded towards alternative heathen religions, he
caused the record to read:
- WHEREFORE THE LORD WAS ANGRY WITH SOLOMON AND SAID ..
BECAUSE YOU HAVE FORSAKEN ME AND NOT WALKED IN MY WAYS TO DO THAT WHICH IS RIGHT IN MY
EYES AND TO KEEP MY STATUTES AS DID DAVID YOUR FATHER ..
THEREFORE I WILL SURELY REND THE KINGDOM OUT OF YOUR HAND ...
And God stirred up enemies unto Solomon, Hadad of Edom (a
neighbouring country) who did him mischief and Resin of Syria, who abhorred Israel
and Jeroboam who lifted up his hand against the king and did rend the kingdom into two .. for
the cause was from the Lord.
Then Rehoboam (Solomon’s son) assembled 180,000 chosen men who were warriors
to bring again the kingdom ...
BUT THE WORD OF GOD CAME BY THE PROPHET SAYING .. YE SHALL NOT FIGHT FOR THIS THING IS OF
ME/GOD... 1 KINGS 11 & 12:15.
