- Without doubt we all heartfully decry the events of Bali, and grieve with the bereaved,
and agree that terrorism is totally without excuse.
But the question still remains....WHY BALI?
Answer:
Because there is a God in heaven whose love is as just and holy as He says it is;
and Who says that His mercy will not be mocked forever!
WHY THE BASTARD BEHAVIOUR?
Why does the church, and the political powers that be, or those in royal position and all
well-wishers, refuse to accept that God means exactly what He promises when a person,
people or nation despise, dishonour and flout Him, every conceivable way?
Here we speak of the acceptance, indeed legalisation, of the sort of perversion and
corruption which brought down the fire of God’s judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah, and
on which God has pronounced the very fires of hell!
- Add to that a church standing idly by saying very little except, Tolerance…God
is love - No one is perfect (in regard to giving up rebellion against God), Judge
not!, though God says the opposite - hypocrites excepted - (so now you know why
‘we don’t judge!)
GOD’S PROMISED RESPONSE
So what does God do when moral perversion is legalised; dissent is forbidden;
‘AIDS needs education and drugs’ you know and country-wide bill-boards
promote both homosexuality (lesbianism) and degraded Australian night-life; and the
current national leadership calls such degradation fun and decent. and into the
bargain we export it (as probably most Western nations do) to the innocent victims of the
3rd world in the interests of our entertainment dollar..?
Answer:
Just what He has always said when the gospel of repentance and true salvation is
refused..... the only other option JUDGEMENT!
So what of Bali? — JUDGEMENT!
What of terrorism? — JUDGEMENT!
What of the future? — JUDGEMENT!
What of the next life? — JUDGEMENT!
.....though the church vehemently rejects such words of God under the pretext of a
hog-wash gospel of love, peace and unity! they call it.
No wonder never a true prophet of God escaped martyrdom, incarceration, or at least,
all-out persecution - just like Jesus said and received Himself.
SO WHAT OF BALI?
If God means what He says, we are bound to say....
- ‘the beginning of sorrows!’...the same as the Twin Towers, AIDS, the
fragmentation of the family, the breakdown of law and order etc. (which no one of course
likes), for God says:
‘Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out My hand, and no man
regarded; but you have set at nought My counsel, and would none of My reproof.
I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fears come; when your fears come
as a desolation, and your destruction comes as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish
comes upon you.
‘Then shall you call upon Me, but I will not answer; they shall seek Me early, but
they shall not find Me; for that they hated knowledge, and did not choose reverence for
the Lord; they would none of My counsel; they despised all My reproof.
- ‘Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their
own devices.
‘For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools
shall destroy them.
- ‘But whoever hearkens unto Me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of
evil.’
(Proverbs 1:24-53. as also such New Testament scriptures as Romans 1:18-2:11.)
SOFT SOAP OR LOVING TRUTH?
When the Tower of Siloam fell and claimed 18 lives, Christ’s condolences to the
survivors were:
‘Except you repent you shall likewise perish!’
Repent means to give up sin (what God says is wrong) and accept a
sin-free life in Christl Hallelujah!!
