TRADITIONS - UNWRITTEN BELIEFS

I want to look at the word.. tradition.. what does it refer to and does it have any room in the end times programme of God?

Traditions are things that are passed down from generation to generation.. they can also be seen as customs or long standing practices, even unwritten beliefs. And this is what I am going to touch on… unwritten beliefs!... 2 Peter 2:1-3.

One of the biggest traditions of the day that has held churches in weakness and confusion is the unwritten belief that… before Lord Jesus returns upon the clouds for His holy remnant there is going to be a major, mammoth revival, with cities coming to the Christ and even nations. This my friend is a tradition a Pentecostal tradition, not biblical and most assuredly unwritten, unbiblical, man-made belief…. Matthew 24:36-44.

Is it that I don’t want revival, multitudes saved and redeemed from sin, the wrath to come and hell fire?... certainly not, it is just that it is not set out this way on Fathers programme for world events… 1 Peter 4:11.

However, my bible does tell me and all who meditate upon His sayings that there is going to be a mammoth revival where multitudes come to Christ but it is by no means before the rapture/upward call or taking away. It will be in the great tribulation period… please read Revelation 7:9-14.

So what we are left with today is a whole lot of wishful thinkers waiting for something that is not ever going to be (according to scripture anyway) but even worse than that, when we take on such heresy, lies, we are in fact guilty of clinging to tradition or words of mere men in preference to His infallible word… yes, we deny Him and His word… Mark 7:9, Revelation 3:8-10.

Most would say well we all have our funny little ways about us, let us be positive and it will happen… once again worshipping the new age God called positive thinking or believing that we have power to create circumstances with our tongue.. Dear reader, there is only one creator. Thank God for that, could you imagine the mess we would have with many creators or even pretend ones. The bottom line is this… Jesus said that as time goes by all things will deteriorate and it has always been unbelievers of the Christ that have wrestled this prophesy of the Messiah. Wake up Australia, the way of the Christ is narrow and few are they who find it… 2 Timothy 4:3,4.
